Mets traded for Elieser Hernandez and Jeff Brigham from Marlins

Hernandez, 27, went 3-6 with a 6.35 ERA in 20 video games (10 begins) for Miami final season, his fifth within the Majors. He had 60 strikeouts in 62 1/3 innings.

Brigham had a 3.38 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 24 innings in 16 aid appearances in 2022. The 30-year-old has pitched 4 seasons within the massive leagues.

Sanchez, 22, was not ranked among the many Mets’ high 30 prospects by the MLB Pipeline. The 6-foot-1 right-hander had a 3.79 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 35 2/3 innings in 17 video games (seven begins) in Single-A and Excessive-A in 2022.

In one other play, the Mets claimed right-handed pitcher William Woods from the Braves waivers. Over 4 Minor League seasons within the Atlanta group, he’s 2-9 with a 4.60 ERA in 59 video games (18 begins).
